M. van Praag

Max van Praag (1947) is one of the regular chazzanim in the Beth Shalom shul, the shul of the elderly home in Amsterdam. He has a long history in traditional Dutch melodies.  A general introduction (Dutch & English) into Max's musical repertoire can be found here.

Max starts each recording with background information in Dutch. For the convince of the non-Dutch speaker I separated that from the actual recording. Hopefully, at some moment, a textual summary will  be added.

At home:
Tsur mishelo (from grandmother, Bloeme Salomons de Paauw): background and melody
Kiddush - Weshameru: background and melody plus textual
Shir hakawod
Melody Ben Zion Moskovits, "summer": background and melody
Melody Ben Zion Moskovits, "Italian": background and melody
